Nineteen years have passed since the end of the last book
and the next generation is battling evil.
This new book contains the script for a play which just opened in
London. Be prepared to be reading stage directions and to have less description
from J.K. Rowling – but as fans of the series know, these stories are always an
active workout for the imagination!
Here, Rowling and her colleagues refer to past feats of heroism while
conjuring more danger and suspense. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child also
explores the relationship between Harry and his youngest son, the maturing and
mellowing of old friends, and the power of good and evil. I read the four acts which comprise Part One and Part Two in several
hours over the course of a sunny afternoon. Enjoy! [If you prefer to wait until the
start of school we will have a copy in the library.]
